About Alokaluca

Alokaluca is jewellery with light, memory and meaning — pieces created and gathered to be worn, loved and perhaps one day passed on.

Where it all began

During a breathwork retreat in Greece, I had a vivid image of a spinning gold locket turning in front of me which had belonged to my mother.

Inside were tiny photographs of Henrietta and Liza, our dachshunds. I had chewed the locket as a baby, and years later my daughter did the same.

As it turned, other memories surfaced too — art classes at school, choosing my first pair of earrings, and the pieces of jewellery that have quietly stayed with me through different stages of life.

That image became the starting point for Alokaluca.

That is the feeling I want to bring to the pieces I create and gather for Alokaluca — jewellery with light, memory and meaning, made to be worn, loved and a reminder to carry your light with you wherever you go.

Alokaluca is designed in West Sussex, England, then brought to life with specialist makers in India, Turkey and Hong Kong. Each piece is chosen or developed for its shape, texture and character, bringing different hands and places into one collection to help you bring light into your day.
